Thoughts & Comments: Merlin Season 2

After finishing Season 2, I must say that although I don’t think it was on the same level as the first, the creators managed to turn me into an even more addicted fangirl, thanks to the introduction of new characters and the witty scenes / touching moments between the oldies.

First of all, I really love how this show doesn’t fall into your typical “everything is black & white; people are either good or evil” category. Yes, magic is mostly used with evil intentions, but a big number of warlocks and witches only wish to execute their revenge on Uther, the biggest hypocrite and probably most antagonistic character of the entire series.

Just take the circumstances and background of Arthur’s birth… which he finds out thanks to Morgause, my new favourite semi-evil heroine, who happens to be Morgana’s half-sister. And a skilled warrior. And a powerful sorceress, who wants Uther dead. But yeah, who doesn’t.

Merlin goes yuri incest.

She also happens to have a crush on love Morgana to a yuristic extent, which can be tagged under the slashy pairings in BBC’s Merlin series’ list, right next to Arthur and Merlin. Which reminds me, their banters have been amazing! Even though there were many, many nerve-wracking minutes, those two always managed to keep it light. Well, more or less.

Why I hate DTV.

In case you don’t know, DTV stands for digital television, which must be the biggest curse (on me) in my family. In the good old times when we only had analogue television my parents not only didn’t care the slightest about streaming, but they most likely didn’t even know what it was.

Ever since we got a new television with both analogue and digital transmission, they’ve started picking up old series they’ve found on a site full of megavideo links. Which is cool, really. But this came with a certain problem. The 72-minutes limit. Which has always been a problem, BUT I never had to “share” my streaming time with my parents. Who don’t like sharing it, either.

So this is how they decided to solve the problem: I get to watch whatever I like until like, say, 5-6 p.m. I must also make sure to reach the 72 min watching time, so they won’t come across the little “BOO, you’ve reached the 72-min limit for now, you better wait or gtfo” sign. From 7 p.m. they get to watch what they like, so it’s all comfortable to them, who work till late.

However, I’m not quite satisfied with their fabulous idea. First of all, I prefer watching my series at night. Secondly, I (am meant to) be working late, as well! So what now?

The way my parents settled this one: “We’re older, and besides, we’re working adults. ┐( ̄ー ̄)┌”

Fuck you, DTV. You. MONSTER.

[1st] Inner Fangirling and Raging

What I’m happy about:

¤ Heart no Kuni no Alice movie! Woot! /o/ Have you seen that gorgeous trailer? Once this is out (and I’ve seen it), I can die happily. Though this is not exactly Heart, since Joker is in it. Anyway, I’m already in love with it, just thinking about the seiyuu cast. ♥

¤ You’ve Fallen for Me Kdrama. Jung Yong Hwa and Park Shin Hye together? I’ve always rooted for them in You’re Beautiful, but yeah… I guess Shin Woo was simply meant to be the nice guy who just doesn’t get the girl, just like BBF’s Ji Hoo. Now that wish of mine seems to be coming true. ~

¤ “[August, 10 Years Later...] Zone Comeback SHOW!! ~ A Reunion With Everyone!~” CD consisting of cover versions (from bands like SCANDAL, ClariS, and Stereopony) of ZONE songs. I love both ZONE and the artists covering their songs, so I seriously can’t wait!

My schedule for this week where.

Although I sent an e-mail by Friday with the info on when I’m free (basically every day), I still didn’t get a reply with my schedule for this week. And it’s Monday. What if I need to work today, but I don’t know of it, since they forgot I’m alive? Seriously, is it such a hard thing to do your damn job, manager / whoever organizes the schedules?

I’ll work 24/7 (not) for you, just tell me when I need to go in. Otherwise I won’t know, and might miss some work days and get fired. And that wouldn’t be cool.

Alas, I’m going to travel 3 hours today again, just to inquire about something that should have been told and made clear by my superiors already. Crap.

X-note | Gameplay Experience #2

So, it’s right after Acia’s murdering. Yuon and Essi are the prime suspects of the crime, and it’s especially hard on Yuon, since he was the first person to discover his father dead, as well. Given this, let’s just say the police doesn’t have the best impression of him.

Because Yuon was being kept busy for the time being, I was given the choice to either talk to Anon or Oure. I went for Anon, because he is the geek needed to unlock the files on the USB drive Emma left behind for Essi, and besides, Oure is too light-headed, imo.

Makes me want to troll him.

Unfortunately, not even Anon-sama can crack the PW on those files, so Essi goes training… where she meets Rexus. Who turns out to be quite good with computers, as well. OmO
